Warmest greetings, and welcome to the Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) Portfolio for Baker College. Baker College was approved by the Higher Learning Commission to participate in the AQIP accreditation process in 2006. AQIP has provided a wonderful opportunity to engage all levels of the College in improving the quality and delivery of our career oriented programs. The portfolio you are about to view is the culmination of the collaborative efforts of dozens of faculty and staff. Constructing the portfolio has been a labor of love which has provided invaluable insight into what and who we are. The portfolio provides a clear view of what we do well and, more importantly, provides clear challenges regarding what we must do better.
Baker College is most grateful to the Higher Learning Commission for allowing us to be an AQIP institution. The portfolio process and the AQIP projects undertaken by the College have provided an accurate road map for both strategic visioning and long range planning. The AQIP process also promotes the institutional transparency that is so important in this day and age. As president of one of the nation’s largest private, non-profit post-secondary institutions, I can truly say that joining AQIP was one of the best decisions made in the history of the College.
Please enjoy this portfolio with the recognition that Baker College is 110% committed to improve effectiveness and the quality of data in every AQIP category.
