Chef/Cook
Whether your goal is to work in a conventional restaurant, explore the world of fine cuisine, or even serve at a resort or on a cruise line, finding success in a restaurant or food service operation depends on more than making great food. If you plan to lead in the kitchen, it’s essential to have good business and management skills as well. Baker’s Culinary Arts curriculum provides the full range of skills that prepares you to succeed as a Chef or in a Kitchen Supervisory position.
At Baker, you study under experienced chefs and other food service professionals who work in the business. Class sizes are small so you have plenty of hands-on training and one-on-one attention. Through classwork, labs, and internship opportunities, you learn how to develop menus, artfully prepare culinary specialties, and manage a food service operation profitably. When you graduate from our program, which is accredited by the American Culinary Federation (ACF), you will be fully prepared to take your certification exam.
