(Hot Career) Electrician

Electrician

Electricians install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in everything from homes and buildings to machines and aircraft and ensure that the work is in accordance with relevant codes. In this field, you can specialize in construction — installing new wiring in factories, businesses, and homes. Or you can focus on maintenance — repairing and upgrading electrical equipment and systems.

In our program at Baker you learn everything from—wiring and safety to electrical codes and standards—in classes taught by industry professionals. You get a strong foundation through a focus on the principles of electrical and electronic systems, as well as the hands-on training you need to install, operate, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and systems. You also further your studies with internship/co-op education experiences that prepare you for an entry-level/apprentice position.

We have a lower student-to-teacher ratio, so you get a lot more attention.
