As a Health Services Administrator, you apply your management skills in many different ways — developing policies and procedures, overseeing operations, and streamlining processes in order to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the quality of patient care. If you work in a large facility or health system, your work may focus on supporting the top administrator by making day-to-day decisions, coordinating business activities, and controlling costs within your department or area of expertise. In a smaller facility, you may be the sole administrator and oversee a wide variety of areas including personnel management, finances, facility operations, and more.
