Industrial Engineer

Industrial Engineer

Industrial Engineers optimize how a process, system, or organization functions. Using computer simulations and mathematical methods and models, you evaluate and analyze a variety of factors — people, machines, materials, information, and energy — to design and develop the most efficient and effective way to make a product or provide a service.

With study and training that combines engineering with business, you can apply your expertise in designing, developing, and testing complex systems in any number of different areas — manufacturing, service or entertainment industries, health care, shipping and logistics, government services, and more. For example, you may design workstations in an assembly operation, consult as an efficiency expert in a health care system, streamline product or materials distribution for a manufacturer, or design cost control systems for a retail chain.

At Baker, with its small class sizes and real-world learning experiences, you’ll gain the knowledge, critical thinking, and skills you need to succeed as an Industrial Engineer. You’ll be fully prepared to start your new career from the day you graduate.
