With a broad base of knowledge and technical skills, Industrial Technicians apply principles and theories of science, engineering, and mathematics to enhance technical performance, solve technical problems, and improve efficiency.
Most Industrial Technicians start by working under the close supervision of an experienced technician, technologist, engineer, or scientist. As you continue to gain experience, you will broaden your range of skills in managing, improving, and maintaining technological systems. There are any number of areas where you might work — research and development, quality control, conducting tests, collecting data, overseeing product standards, or developing new tools and techniques to perform given tasks.
