Information Systems Manager
Today’s organizations need to ensure that their information-based technologies are up to date and perform effectively and reliably. You lead work as an Information Systems Manager, directing the work of other information technology professionals and making certain that your organization’s computer and information systems are available, continuous, and secure. Day-to-day, that can include any number of responsibilities — overseeing network security, programming, and systems design, installing and upgrading hardware and software, maintaining user services, developing and maintaining Internet and Intranet sites, and more.
You also do long-range planning to keep your organization on top of useful new technologies and ensure that it has the software, equipment, and manpower required to meet current and expected information needs.
Success in this field requires a broad base of knowledge and skills — just what you will find at Baker. Our classes are small, giving you an uncommon level of student-instructor interaction in a curriculum that’s designed to give you technical expertise, a strong foundation of leadership and communication skills, and a solid understanding of management principles.
