Medical Assistant
Working as a Medical Assistant is both challenging and fulfilling. The position requires compassion, attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to multi-task. Your clinical work includes responsibilities like taking medical histories, preparing patients for examinations and diagnostic procedures, performing lab tests, sterilizing equipment, or explaining physician instructions. You also perform a variety of administrative tasks such as updating records, answering insurance questions, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and more.
In Baker’s Medical Assistant program you gain the broad base of knowledge and skills you need to keep a medical office running smoothly. You also have the option to concentrate your studies on either technical or clinical work. With our small class sizes, you’re assured of getting plenty of one-on-one interaction with your instructors. Plus, you’ll combine your class work with hands-on training that will fully prepare you to take the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) national certifying exam.
