Receptionist Explore your career.

Because the Receptionist is an organization’s front line representative, excellent interpersonal skills are essential. You greet clients and customers, answer questions, and provide information about the firm you work for. For many customers, clients, and visitors, the first impression you give is the impression that stays with them.

This is a job that requires a high level of social interaction, and a strong desire to interact with and help people is important. You should be an attentive listener, as well as courteous and professional at all times. Your Baker instructors will help you to build on the social attributes you already have and will teach you the basic office skills that will make your job easier and help you to advance.

There are certain things that you can learn by book, but there are other things that you just have to learn by experience. By having somebody who has already done it and had the experience, it’s easier…
