Receptionist
With the responsibility of making a good impression every time a visitor walks through the front door, receptionists are an important part of the health care team. Everything you do — answering and routing calls, greeting visitors, handling inquiries, providing information, and a variety of office tasks — contributes to the success of the organization as a whole.
At Baker College, you learn how to combine your interpersonal, communication, and client service capabilities with proficiency in recordkeeping technology and medical terminology. And because you study with faculty who have years of real-world experience to share with you, you know what to expect working in the medical field. You are ready to go from day one whether you choose to work in a clinic, outpatient care facility, physician’s office, or other medical facility.
– Peter Karadjoff President and CEO, Mercy HospitalAs a CEO, I can recommend to my colleagues out there that they really consider Baker students when they are looking to fill the positions in their organizations.
