Truck Driving Explore your career.

When it comes to shipping goods, almost everything—from potato chips to jet engines—is carried by trucks at some point along the way. Whether you would like to be a local or long-distance Driver, Baker’s industry professionals will teach you how to transport products safely and efficiently through a curriculum designed to put you on the road as quickly as possible.

At Baker, you learn all the fundamentals you will need throughout your career—rules and regulations, truck inspection, and truck maintenance. You also get hands-on training using our L-3 driving simulator and actual, on-the-job experience. Our curriculum meets all state and federal requirements for Truck Driver training and prepares you for the Michigan Commercial Driver Licensing Class A exam.

At most schools, there is no such thing as on-the-job training…We actually use national carriers within the area. We place our students with one of their drivers, and they make actual deliveries…they get the true feeling of professional truck driving.
