Campus Safety Services

Safety Escorts:
An escort by a Campus Safety Officer is available for students, staff, and visitors of the campus.  Escorts by Campus Safety Officers are offered to anyone who does not feel safe when walking to their classrooms, vehicles, and other areas of the Auburn Hills campus.

Battery Jump for Vehicles:
The Campus Safety Office can assist individuals that are having trouble starting their vehicles due to a low battery.   Campus Safety Officers can provide a jump start for vehicle owners that have signed an authorization form for this service.

Vehicle Unlocks:
Individuals that have locked their keys inside of their car can gain access to their vehicles by reporting to the Campus Safety Office.  Requesting this service requires a signed authorization form that gives Campus Safety Officers permission to use equipment to unlock the individual’s car.

Parking Permits:
Students, faculty and staff are required to have a parking permit when parking on campus.  This allows our office to ensure that unauthorized vehicles are not parked in areas that are designated for our students and staff.  Parking permits can easily be obtained through the Campus Safety Office at no charge to the student or staff member.

Facilities Access:
Registered students, staff, and alumni have access to the computer labs at the Auburn Hills Campus.  The Campus Safety Office will provide access to the computer labs for students and staff who submit a valid Baker ID card, and to alumni students that have a valid driver’s license.

Student Picture ID Cards:
Baker ID cards for students and staff are issued through the Campus Safety Office.  There is a $5.00 charge to replace a student’s ID card.  Students and staff must have a valid Baker Identification Card when conducting business on campus.  ID cards can be obtained during regular business hours of the Campus Safety Office.
