Purpose:
The purpose of Internatinal Connection is to provide fun activities for members, which will in turn lead to the following:
An increase in English language skills and American cultural knowledge on the part of international (ESL) student members
An increase in global cultural awareness and a great open-mindedness about others in the world
The creation of friendships across barriers which traditinally keep people apart

Activities:
International Connection is a social group that gathers approximately two times each quarter for fun activities. Past activities and future ideas include eating international meals together, foreign film movie nights, and "field trips" to local places of interest and sources of American culture. We also host guest speakers and international festivals/demonstrations. Many events are open not only to Baker students but also to their friends and families.

Requirements:
The club is open to any and all Baker College students - both international and Americans with an interest in other cultures. Everyone is welcome!

Meetings:
Some events are held on campus, while some gatherings occur out in the local community. Our goal is to meet two times each quarter, sometimes during the day and sometimes in the evening. The club may also host weekend activities.
