Segment 1

Consists of:

  • 24 hours of classroom instruction
  • 2 hours on the driving range
  • 4 hours of on-the-road driving with an instructor
  • 4 hours of observation time

 To be eligible to take Segment 1, students must:

  • be at least 14 years and 8 months old by the start of class
  • have a copy of an original birth certificate
  • have parent or legal guardian permission

Segment 2

Consists of:

  • 6 hours of classroom instruction

To be eligible to take Segment 2, students must:

  • possess a Michigan Level 1 license
  • have logged 30 hours behind the wheel with a parent/parent designee
  • have driven two of these 30 hours at night
  • have held a valid Level 1 license for a minimum of 3 consecutive months
  • have parent or legal guardian permission

Please Note: Every student must be registered through the Baker College of Cadillac Administrative office prior to the start of class. Baker College of Cadillac accepts cash, check, money order, debit cards, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Cards.
