Campus: Owosso Contact Person: Kristina M Description: Thursday, February 14, 2013 (ALL events will be held in the Student Center Gym) Rhythm in Motion 10 a.m. to 10:40 a.m.: The Shabazz Public School Academy African Dance & Drum Team (grades K-6) will perform traditional African dance and drumming. Soul Food Tasting 12 to 1:30 p.m. Chef Freddie Thomas will be doing his take on the Iron Chef by preparing a soulful dish and explaining the history of soul food. Mr. Larry Griffin 2 to 3 p.m.: Mr. Larry Griffin will speak about “The Significant Contributions of African Americans in Michigan.
