WELCOME TO THE PRE-SCHOOL ROOM (4'S)
Welcome to the 4-year-old Pre-School room. What an exciting and curious age. Pre-Schooler's are so eager to learn and discover new things. Most of their learning is experienced through play. We work on hand-eye coordination and begin activities that require your child to sit and pay attention for progressively longer spans of time. Social and emotional development such as following directions, practicing manners, taking turns and sharing while working together as a team are continually emphasized. These activities promote self-esteem and enhance social skills such as treating each other with respect and courtesy.
Large and small motor skills are incorporated in the Pre-School curriculum on a daily basis with activities such as: name recognition, printing, counting, letter and number recognition, Sign Language and speaking Spanish. Hands-on experiences are also an important part of our day. Our art projects involve finger painting, cutting and gluing. We also do science experiments, musical activities and engage in creative play throughout the day. We are sure your child's time spent with us will be a fun and educational experience.
