The Infant Room
Welcome to the Infant Room
We are pleased you have chosen Baker College
to care for your infant. More than likely, this is your first experience with childcare, so we understand if you feel uneasy. That is why we will do everything possible to keep your infant on the same schedule as you have had them on at home.
In order for us to accomplish this, we will need a copy of your normal daily schedule along with ready to use bottles, cereal and baby food for the day. You will also need to bring diapers, wipes and a change of clothing for your infant. Please make sure you label everything you bring in for your child. Each day you will receive a daily sheet that will include times of feedings, diaper changes, naps and special milestones. These daily reports are intended to reflect your child's entire day.
If there is anything we have overlooked, please let us know. In our room, we like to interact with the children as much as possible, we read books, sing songs, exercise, listen to music and go for stroller rides. Please keep in mind that whenever you feel uneasy and would like to come and visit, you are welcome. We are always happy to see our parents come and spend time with their child any time throughout the day because our goal is to make this transition as comfortable as possible for you and your child.
Sincerely,
