Purpose:
The watchwords of the society are Scholarship, Character and Service and denote the three major objectives of Gamma Beta Phi: To recognize and encourage individual excellence in education, to promote the development of leadership ability and character in its members, and to foster, disseminate and improve education through appropriate service projects.

Activities:
Gamma Beta Phi was awarded an honor from the National Chapter for Distinguished Club for 2006 and regularly organizes community service opportunities in Flint and Genesee Counties. They participate in the American Heart Walk and the Making Strides Breast Cancer Walks in downtown Flint and participate in Spirit Week activities on campus as well as clubs days.

Requirements:
Must meet National academic standards for Gamma Beta Phi of a 3.5 gpa on a 4.0 scale, have completed 12 semester hours or 15 quarter hours of classwork and complete 20 hours of community service per school year.
