First Infraction: (Unless Flagrant Violation)
Violation Issued
$10.00 Fine if paid within 5 days
If not paid within 5 days plates will be run through the Secretary of State and additional fines will be added
Second Infraction:
Violation Issued
$15.00 Fine if paid within 5 days
If not paid within 5 days plates will be run through the Secretary of State and additional fines will be added.
Suspended**until violation resolved
Third Infraction:
Violation Issued
$20.00 Fine if paid within 5 days
If not paid within 5 days plates will be run through the Secretary of State and additional fines will be added.
Subsequent Infractions:
Violation Issued
$25.00 Fine if paid within 5 days
If not paid within 5 days plates will be run through the Secretary of State and additional fines will be added.
**Any vehicle found on college property while parking privileges are suspended or revoked will be towed at the owner’s expense.
Appeals
Appeals for parking violations must be made in writing to the Director of Campus Safety and contain the following information:
1. Name
2. Address
3. UIN Number
4. The parking permit number
5. Date and time of the violation
6. Reason for the appeal
7. Phone number
8. Email
Appeals must be made within 5 business days of the date of the issuance of the violation. Any appeal presented after five days will not be considered.
The Director of Campus Safety or his representative will respond to the appeal within 10 business days and render a decision.
Appeals for reasons involving lack of information or simple failure to follow established procedures are seldom granted. “I didn’t know”, “I was late for class”, “There are not enough signs”, or “It took longer than I expected” are not reasons for granting appeals.
