The workstudy committee of Baker College of Owosso announces that Nicole Young has been named the workstudy of the quarter for Winter 2013. Nicole has worked in the Bookstore since August 2011. Nicole is a resident of Owosso along with her parents Bob and Karen, two brothers, Aaron and Jacob and four sisters, Natalie, Lyndsey, Alli and Abby. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and reading. She has attended Baker College of Owosso since fall 2007 and has received an Associate’s degree in Human Services. Nicole’s future plans include graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services in June 2013 and finding a job within her chosen field.

Christina has worked in Business & Corporate Services since February 2011. She is pictured with Troy Napier, Director of Business & Corporate Services and Karen Smith, Employment & Training Advisor, who both nominated her.
Christina is a resident of Corunna and daughter of the late Pete Nellis and Louann and Steve Compton. In her spare time she enjoys swimming and is active in her church. She also enjoys spending two weeks in the summer at Camp Quality, which is a summer camping experience and year-round support program for children with cancer. She has attended Baker College of Owosso since winter 2009 will receive an Associate’s degree in Human Services this spring. Christina’s future plans include graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services next year and to work for DHS. Other future goals include becoming a child life specialist and working with children with cancer.
