Manufacturing Specific Training

Business and Corporate Services offers manufacturing specific training onsite or on campus to best serve employees and adult learners. In addition, Business and Corporate Services works with the State of Michigan and other entities to provide cutting edge training at no or a reduced cost. This division has been successfully administering Michigan's Economic Development Job Training grants and federal Workforce Investment Act programs for many years and helps eligible companies assess training needs, prepare and submit the required applications and coordinate all instructional sessions. Training is available but not limited to the following areas:

  • Plant Maintenance Program
  • Compliance/Safety Training
  • HVAC/Certification
  • Welding (Schedule)
  • Blueprint Reading
  • AutoCAD
  • Lean Manufacturing
  • Quality Management/Process Improvement
  • Statistical Process Control
  • Logistics

These non-credit courses can be delivered on-site or at a local Baker College campus. Training in these and other topics can be customized to meet specific needs of customers, including content, scheduling, and delivery format.
