Credit by Examination & Advanced Placement Programs
Credit-by-examination programs offer students the opportunity to demonstrate their academic proficiency in various general education and specific subject areas. Such proficiency may have been developed by the student, for example, outside of a traditional classroom through such means as personal reading, adult education courses, job experiences, etc.
Please visit the Web sites listed below for specific information regarding national credit by examination programs.
If you would like to schedule CLEP and DANTES testing, contact Janice Siplin via e-mail at janice.siplin@baker.edu or call (810) 766-4113.
Advanced placement credit through testing in various areas is also given to students toward completion of their selected program for skills already developed. There is no charge for advanced placement credit.
For more information about advanced placement testing, such as COMPASS, please contact an Academic Counselor in the Counseling Department.
