Exit Loan Counseling


Prior to leaving Baker College, student loan borrowers are required to complete an Exit Loan Counseling session. If you do not complete Exit Counseling, a hold will be placed on any requests for official academic transcripts.


Step 1: To complete your loan counseling online, please select the campus you attend from this list provided below. When you select a campus below, you are taken away from the Baker College site and will complete your Exit Counseling at the Department of EducatioN's web site, NSLDS Student Access.

Step 2: To navigate through the NSLDS Student Access site, please follow the process below.

  • Click on "Exit Counseling".
  • Click on "Start" button under Loan Exit Counseling.
  • Click on "Next"
  • Read through the Intro and click on "Next".
  • Read through the "Basics" click on "Next".
  • Enter your social security number, the first two letters of your last name, date of birth, and your PIN number (what you use to complete your FAFSA).
  • Click on "Submit".
  • Follow the rest of the directions for completing your Exit Counseling session.

An electronic report will be sent to Baker College indicating that you have completed your Exit Counseling. If you experience problems while on the NSLDS Student Access site, please call 1-800-4-FED-AID or click on the "Contact Us" tab on the top tool bar. The "Contact Us" will show you a link for sending an e-mail to Studentaid@ed.gov.
