How to Apply for a Loan

In order to apply for a loan, you must first apply for financial aid. See How to Apply for Financial Aid for further information on this process.

Once you have applied for financial aid, you will receive a Financial Aid Notification package from the Financial Aid Office. A Loan Request Form will be included in your award package. The Loan Request Form must be completed and returned to the Financial Aid Office before the loan process can begin.

Once the request is processed, you will receive a Promissory Note (unless your lender already has one on file for you). This form must be completed and returned to the Student Loan Department at Baker College. After the completed Promissory Note is received, it will be sent to the Loan Servicer for approval.
