AHA Courses

The American Heart Association (AHA) strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPR and First Aid and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
This American Heart Association approved course prepares healthcare providers and other professional rescuers to provide rescue breathing, CPR, or automated external defibrillation to heart attack victims. Successful completion of standardized written and practical examinations earn graduates a nationally recognized 2 year certification card, as required by many employers.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
This program is designed for paramedics, nurses, physicians, and other allied health professionals to prepare them to provide advanced care in cardiac emergencies. Baker College provides a low-stress environment in which experienced faculty guide students to success through realistic scenarios using modern equipment. Successful completion of standardized written and practical examinations earn graduates a nationally recognized 2 year certification card, as required by many employers and medical control authorities.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
This elite course prepares medical professionals to meet the challenges of providing appropriate, advanced care for infants and children suffering from cardiovascular crises. Baker College provides a low-stress environment in which experienced faculty guide students to success through realistic scenarios using modern equipment. Successful completion of standardized written and practical examinations earn graduates a nationally recognized 2 year certification card, as required by many employers and medical control authorities.

Heartsaver CPR
This American Heart Association approved course provides adult, child, and infant CPR according to American Heart Association standards. Students will attend American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR certification upon successful completion of this course. This certification meets the needs of many state licensure requirements.

Heartsaver First Aid
This American Heart Association approved course provides Standard First Aid according to American Heart Association standards. Students will attain American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid certification upon successful completion of this course. This certification meets the needs of many state licensure requirements.

Heartsaver CPR & First Aid
Participants will learn CPR, First Aid, and foreign body airway obstruction relief for all age groups. Automated external defibrillation (AED) training will also be provided.
