Graduation

A one-time $50.00 graduation fee is required. Please see the Business Office regarding those situations who have received financial aid or student loans must complete an "Exit Interview" form. Participation

Students who graduated from pograms during the summer 2013, fall 2013, or winter 2014 quarters may participate. Spring 2014 quarter students may participate if all required classes will be completed by the end of the spring 2014 quarter. Summer 2014 quarter students may also walk if all courses will be completed at the end of that quarter. Note: Students who are not enrolled in all classes required for graduation may be denied participation in the ceremony.

Determination of Gradution Honors
The wearing of honor cords in the commencement ceremony will be determined by the student's winter quarter cumulative G.P.A. No exceptions will be made. If a graduate's honor status changes with the final degree audit, the graduate may pick up the appropriate honor cord from the Registrar's Office and will receive that honor status designation on their diploma and transcript. The cord delineation is as follows:

 Gold: 3.90 - 4.00 Summa Cum Laude

Silver:  3.70 - 3.89 Magna Cum Laude

White:  3.50 - 3.69 Cum Laude

Cap and Gown Availability
Cap and gown packages will be available for pick up beginning Tuesday, May 27 through Thursday, June 5 in the bookstore during their regular business hours. Please be prepared to show your picture ID when picking up your cap and gown packet.

Auburn Hills

DATE:  Commencement is held once per year for all current year graduates.  The ceremonies on Saturday, June 14th, 2014 will include graduates from Fall 2013, and Winter, Spring and Summer 2014.

  • 12:00pm: Health Sciences
  • 4:00 pm:  Business, Education, Human Services and Technical (including Graphic Communication)

PARTICIPATION:  Students who will complete their program during the summer quarter may participate if enrolled for all remaining classes.  Summer graduates who are not enrolled for all remaining requirements may be denied participation.

LOCATION:  The ceremony is held at The Apostolic Church of Auburn Hills, on Squirrel Road just north of Tienken Road.  The address is 3655 N. Squirrel, Auburn Hills, 48326.

REGALIA:  Cap & gown distribution days are 1-2 weeks prior to the ceremony.  Tickets, honor cords (if eligible) and all remaining information will also be distributed at that time.  Cap & Gown Distribution Days:  Thursday, May 29th, in the Student Center and Tuesday, June 3rd, in the Tech Building student break room.

HOURS:  10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

ATTIRE:  Commencement Day is a proud occasion; please dress to impress!  Jeans, shorts, t-shirts, flip flops, casual sandals and athletic shoes are not appropriate.

TICKETS:  Ten (10) tickets. The Career Services office is unable to provide additional tickets. Graduates are encouraged to give their extra tickets to individuals who need them. Alternatively, extra tickets may be left in the fishbowl on the entrance table at the church, on the day of the ceremony. Those who need additional tickets should network with other graduates, or check the fishbowl shortly before the ceremony starts.

PHOTOGRAPHS:  The proofs are emailed approximately 2-3 days after the ceremony.  Orders must be placed through Graduation Foto Company.  Graduation Foto: www.graduationfoto.com or (734)677-3400.

Cadillac

Date: Commencement is held once per year for all current year graduates. It will be held at Resurrection Life Church, 9127 E 44 1/2 Rd in Cadillac on Friday, June 13th 2014 and will include graduates from Fall 2013, and Winter, Spring and Summer 2014.

Application for Graduation: Accurate completion of the graduation application is vital for the preparation of your diploma and the posting of your graduation to the permanenet record of the College. The application can be completed online at www.baker.edu/graduation.

Graduation Fee: A one-time $50 graduation fee will be applied to your account after submission of your graduation application. Please see the Business Office regarding payment. Additionally, if you have received student loans you must complete "loan exit counseling". This is available at www.baker.edu/loans.

Determination of Graduation Honors: The wearing of honor cords in the commencement ceremony will be determined by the student's Winter quarter cumulaive GPA. No exceptions will be made. If a gradate's honor status changes with the final degree audit, the graduate may pick up the appropriate honor cord from the Registrar's Office and will receive that honor status designation on their diploma and transcript.

3.90 - 4.00 Summa Cum Laude Gold cord
3.70 - 3.89 Magna Cum Laude Silver cord
3.50 - 3.69 Cum Laude White cord

Diplomas: Diplomas and certificates will be mailed approximately eight weeks after program completion. If a balance is owed to the college or financial aid loan exit counseling has not been completed, the diploma will be held until the obligation is satisfied.

More information will be mailed to graduates in April that will have specific times of the ceremonies, what times graduates will be required to be there, caps and gowns pick-up dates/times, etc.

Cass City

The Cass City graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014, 7:00 p.m. at the Cass City Middle School located at 4805 Ale St, Cass City, MI 48726.

Cap and Gown pick-up begins Thursday, June 5 - Wednesday, June 11, 2014.

Clinton Township

The Clinton Township Graduation Ceremonies will take place on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Bethesda Christian Church, 14000 Metropolitan Parkway in Sterling Heights. Ceremonies are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. for most Health Science programs, Education and Human Service programs and at 3 p.m. for all Business and Technical programs along with the Bachelor of Health Services Administration program.

Commencement
All students participating in the ceremonies will receive a letter in mid-April with information concerning cap and gown pick-up as well as specifics about the ceremony.

Students who graduated from programs during the summer, fall, or winter quarters may participate. Spring quarter students may participate if all required classes will be completed by the end of the spring quarter. Summer quarter students may also walk if all courses will be completed at the end of that quarter. The Annual Graduation ceremony will be held Friday, June 13th, 2014 at 7:00pm, at Jackson High School Auditorium. All students participating in the ceremony will receive a letter in early May with instructions on when and where they can pick up their cap and gown as well as specifics about the ceremony.

The Annual Graduation ceremony will be held Friday, June 13, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at the L.C. Walker Arena, 955 Fourth Street, Muskegon.

2014 GRADUATION CEREMONY INFORMATION

CENTER FOR GRADUATE STUDIES/ONLINE

The annual graduation ceremony will be held on Friday May 30th, 2014 at 7:00 pm.

Location

Whiting Auditorium, 1241 East Kearsley Street, Flint MI 48503.

No tickets are necessary. Guest seating is on a first come-first seated basis. Access to the auditorium begins at 6:30 pm. Lines will form outside the auditorium prior.

Cap and gown packages, including honor cords, will be mailed by May 16th, 2014.

Accurate completion of the graduation application is vital for the preparation of your diploma and the posting of your graduation to the permanent record of the College.

Students completing programs during the Summer 2013, Fall 2013, Winter 2014, Spring 2014 or Summer 2014 quarters may participate. Honors are based on GPA as of the winter 2014 quarter. Final honors will be recorded on the transcript and diploma of the graduates. Honors are issued at the undergraduate level only.
