The book catalog contains information on books, periodicals (journals, magazines and newspapers), ebooks, and other materials in Baker College libraries. Use your library barcode number to request and/or renew books online. You can access your library account for information on fines, fees, holds, and other status on active requests. (You cannot browse periodicals and request individual articles through this book catalog.)

Baker College libraries offer access to a large collection of online databases with full-text articles in scholarly journals, magazines, and newspapers, and electronic books. You will need your library barcode number for authentication. Your barcode can be found on your Baker College @ccess I.D. card, it begins 23504 and consists of fourteen digits.

TIP: Whether you type in or copy/paste the library number, make sure there are no blank spaces either before or after the number.

Getting books from other libraries (Interlibrary Loan)

Can’t find the book or article you need here at Baker College? Don’t worry, we’ll get it for you from another library! We can process requests for non-Baker materials through the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) system, a resource-sharing agreement between libraries lending out their books for a short time. Use the WorldCat database (find under FirstSearch) for Information on books (e.g., author, title, date, and place of publication). WorldCat is a catalog containing information on books and periodicals at participating libraries worldwide. You can access this resource with your library (barcode) number, which can be found on your Baker @ccess ID card. Use the Library Book/Article Request Form or contact the library with this information for timely processing. If possible, please provide a deadline after which you do not need the book or article. ILL books cannot be renewed.
