With its unique Swiss-chalet-style buildings, Baker College of Owosso may not look like a typical college. And in several important ways, it’s not. First of all, our facilities—including our Center for Technical Education—are equipped with the same technologies and systems (including medical labs) that you’ll use in the real world. And the courses taught here are different too, stressing practical knowledge and hands-on learning, to prepare you as quickly as possible for employment. So if you’re looking for a different kind of college, you’ll like what you see at Baker College of Owosso. General Location/DescriptionAlthough Baker College of Owosso is located just four blocks south of the busy downtown, when you step onto our campus you'll find a beautiful "home away from home" with rolling and wooded hills, and the classic European architectural style of Swiss chalets, an idyllic site for your college education and collegiate lifestyle. For directions to this campus, please see their map. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view. To download a free copy of Acrobat Reader visit www.adobe.com. CampusLocated in a historic and safe community, our classroom buildings, student center, snack shop, bookstore, gymnasium, and apartment-style residence halls sit amid a cluster of small stone and brick office buildings with a comfortable, quaint courtyard and the five-story Don R. Mitchell bell tower. Specialty ProgramsIn 1998, the College focused on diversifying its programs and services to better meet the changing needs of both its student body and its community. The Business and Corporate Services Division was designed to provide a full spectrum of job training, employee recruitment, and employee education services. To accommodate this department, the College renovated a historic downtown home to create the new Baker College of Owosso Bentley campus. The campus now boasts of a Center for Technical Studies and the Teacher Preparation and Nursing programs. To view what extracurricular activities and program related clubs and organizations that the Owosso campus has to offer, please see Student Life.
