Baker College of Allen Park Granted Initial Approval for Nursing Degree Program

Enrollment currently underway
Baker College of Allen Park has been granted initial approval for its associate degree in nursing (ADN) program by the Michigan Board of Nursing (MBON). Enrollment in the new program is currently underway. Nursing classes begin Monday, January 9.

Baker College of Muskegon Displays AIDS Memorial Quilt on Campus Nov. 28 - Dec. 2

Special public viewing on World AIDS Day, December 1
Baker College of Muskegon will display sections of the 54-ton AIDS memorial quilt from November 28 until December 2, in the Student Center, 1903 Marquette Ave., Muskegon. The general public is invited to a special viewing on World AIDS Day, Thursday, December 1, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. The handmade tapestry is a memorial to the more than 92,000 individuals who have died from AIDS.

Teams with Wexford-Missaukee Career Technical Center
Baker College of Cadillac, in partnership with the Wexford-Missaukee Career Technical Center (WMCTC), is launching a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) operator certificate program this winter. Classes begin Monday, January 9, at WMCTC.

Baker College of Auburn Hills Student Wins Dianne Addington Community Leadership Scholarship

Kimberly Cross, a student at Baker College of Auburn Hills, is the recipient of the 2011 Dianne Addington Community Leadership Scholarship award. The $2,000 scholarship, funded by Genisys Credit Union, is in honor of their former CEO who retired in 2010. Addington served on many boards in the community throughout her career, including the Baker College of Auburn Hills board of regents. More»
Baker College of Port Huron Vet Tech Graduates Surpass National Pass Rate Average on Licensing Exam

Officials at Baker College of Port Huron have announced that 92.3 percent of its 2011 graduates from the veterinary technician associate degree program have successfully passed the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE) on the first attempt. The national pass rate average for U.S. and Canadian first-time candidates is 81.71 percent. More»
Baker College of Flint Truck Driving Program Granted Recertification

The Baker College of Flint truck driving certificate program has been granted recertification by the Professional Truck Driver Institute (PTDI). Recertification covers the truck driving programs at Baker's Center for Transportation Technology (CTT) and the Saginaw Driver Training Center. Certification is valid for five years. More»
Baker College of Cadillac Launches New Student-2-Student Mentoring Program

Baker College of Cadillac recently launched Student-2-Student, a new mentoring program designed to assist new students transitioning into college life. Partially funded by the Helen and Harvey Pell Fund for Education, an endowed fund held by the Cadillac Area Community Foundation, the program was conceived by the academic team at Baker College of Cadillac after the success of its adjunct teaching staff mentoring program. Baker College Online Celebrates Completion of Military and Student Veterans Resource Center

Open House on Veterans Day, Friday, November 11
The Military Programs Division of Baker College Online is hosting a grand opening open house to celebrate the completion of its Military and Student Veterans Resource Center on Friday, November 11, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m., 1116 W. Bristol Road, Flint. The general public, all active duty or military veterans, regardless of theatre of combat operations or time in service, and the media are invited.
