Two teams of Baker College of Muskegon students from the Strategic Management class garnered first and fifth place in the Global Business (Glo-Bus) Strategy Game Competition Simulation Exercise. The Business Strategy Game (BSG) is an online business simulation where teams of higher education students from around the world co-manage a company and compete in various international markets, including North America, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and Europe-Africa. Robb White, Dean of Culinary for the Baker College of Muskegon Culinary Institute of Michigan (CIM), was inducted into the Disciples Escoffier International – USA, on July 18, 2012. White and 16 other inductees were honored during the Disciples d'Escoffier Society of Florida's Annual Dinner. The gastronomic society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion of professional chefs and cooks. More»

Bob Carpenter, a student at Baker College of Auburn Hills, is the recipient of the 2012 Dianne Addington Community Leadership Scholarship Award. The $2,000 scholarship, funded by Genisys Credit Union, is in honor of their former CEO who retired in 2010. Addington served on many boards in the community throughout her career, including the Baker College of Auburn Hills Board of Regents. More»

Officials at Baker College of Auburn Hills have announced Misty Barbee as the recipient of the 2012 Ed Kurtz Leadership Scholarship Award. Barbee received a $2,500 scholarship that is awarded to a Baker student who demonstrates academic achievement and either a commitment to community service or a successful balance of work, family and school obligations.
