Baker College officials have named Gail L. Bullard as Baker College System director of health sciences. She will oversee all programs related to direct patient care and patient information systems.

“Gail brings a wealth of administrative and nursing experience as well as an in-depth knowledge of the Baker system to this position,” said Denise Bannan, Ph.D., Baker College System vice president for academics. “We are thrilled that she has accepted this challenging assignment.”

Bullard was dean of health sciences at Baker College of Cadillac since 2006. She has more than 35 years of nursing experience, and 18 years of health care administration and program development experience. Previous positions include executive director of Mecosta Health Services, medical center manager for Blue Care Network, assistant program director for Rivendell of Michigan, nurse at several mid Michigan medical facilities, and university health care instructor.

Bullard, a Mecosta resident, holds a bachelor’s degree in community development and a master’s degree in health care administration, both from Central Michigan University. She earned a nursing diploma from Butterworth Hospital School of Nursing, Grand Rapids. Bullard is also working toward a doctorate in health education from A.T. Still University. She is a member of the Michigan Organization of Nurse Executives (MONE), and the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA).
