Baker College of Allen Park Granted Approval for Nursing Degree Program
March 04, 2011
Baker College of Allen Park has received self-study approval for its associate degree nursing (ADN) program by the Michigan Board of Nursing (MBON).
“This new program will allow students to receive training in the very high-demand field of health care,” said Aaron J. Maike, Baker College of Allen Park president. “Gail Hall, director of nursing, worked tirelessly throughout the rigorous process leading to program approval. She is to be congratulated for her efforts to help provide more degree opportunities for Baker students.”
Students may register now for the nursing program prerequisite courses.
Initial approval and annual renewal by MBON entitles Baker nursing graduates to sit for the RN licensure exam. After the second graduating class, the Allen Park campus will be eligible to apply for full MBON approval and additional accreditation.
