November 22, 2011

Enrollment currently underway

Baker College of Allen Park has been granted initial approval for its associate degree in nursing (ADN) program by the Michigan Board of Nursing (MBON). Enrollment in the new program is currently underway. Nursing classes begin Monday, January 9.

“Beginning and growing a successful nursing program takes many years of hard work and dedication,” said Aaron J. Maike, Baker College of Allen Park president. “We are very proud of Gail Hall, director of nursing, and the entire nursing staff and faculty. Congratulations to all for this outstanding achievement.”

Baker College of Allen Park received self-study approval for its nursing degree program earlier this year, at which time students were able to register for prerequisite courses. Upon completion of the nursing program, graduates are eligible to sit for the NCLEX RN licensure exam. After graduation of the second class, the college may apply to the Michigan Board of Nursing for full approval of its nursing program and may also apply for candidacy status with the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
