Baker College of Auburn Hills Hosts Ninth Annual Women In Transition Conference

Public event is Friday, Nov. 9; registration deadline is Nov. 7
Baker College of Auburn Hills—in partnership with Oakland Community College, the American Association of University Women and Michigan Works! Association—will host the ninth annual Women in Transition conference on Friday, Nov. 9. The event, titled “Everything you ever wanted to know about getting ahead,” is designed to assist and support women.

Attendees will learn about recognizing skills and interests, choosing and preparing for a career, getting into college or entering a trade, and obtaining financial and study skills assistance.

Barbara Felder, judicial secretary to Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Phyllis C. McMillen, will be the guest speaker. She has been employed with the court for more than 12 years.

The Women in Transition conference runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Baker College of Auburn Hills, 1500 University Drive. The $15 enrollment fee includes a continental breakfast, lunch, all sessions and handouts, and door prizes. Scholarships are available for those unable to pay the enrollment fee.
