Baker College of Clinton Township Appoints G. Miller as Pharmacy Technician Program Director

Baker College of Clinton Township officials have named Gary L. Miller as pharmacy technician program director. He is responsible for overseeing the pharmacy technician program, including providing students with a quality pharmacy education, addressing student issues and answering questions in a prompt and clear manner. Miller will also ensure that graduates from the program are prepared for the national certification exam and the challenges they may face in their new career.

“Gary brings a wealth of pharmaceutical and managerial experience and talent to our campus,” said Donald R. Torline, Baker College of Clinton Township president. “We are very pleased that he has accepted the demanding task of preparing our graduates for a rewarding pharmacy technician career.”

Miller has more than 30 years of pharmacy and management experience, having worked as a pharmacy manager and store manager for several retail chain stores, including Walmart, Arbor Drugs (now part of CVS Corporation) and Perry Drug Stores. He was also a pharmacist at a senior home health care center for six years.

Miller, a Commerce Township resident, is a member of the Oakland County Pharmacists Association (OCPA), the Michigan Pharmacists Association (MPA), the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), the Michigan Society of Health-System Pharmacists (MSHP) and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from Ferris State University. Miller has been a licensed pharmacist for more than 30 years.
