Baker College of Flint Business Students Re-Enact Award-Winning Presentation

May 16, 2012

Event is Wednesday, May 23 @ 6 p.m.
Baker College of Flint business students will re-enact the presentation that garnered two awards at the recent Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) regional competition in Chicago. The media, general public and all Baker College of Flint students are invited to the presentation, Wednesday, May 23, at 6 p.m., Campus Auditorium, 1050 W. Bristol Road, Flint.

The Baker College of Flint SIFE team won Rookie of the Year and First Runner-up awards for developing a new website, brochure, and marketing and production plans for St. Luke’s New Life Center in Flint. St. Luke’s project began more than a year ago, when the small business program students at Baker College of Flint helped the organization develop a business plan for its initiative to train unemployed women in Flint’s inner city to produce hospital gowns to sell to area hospitals.

Representatives from St. Luke’s, including Sister Carol and Sister Judy, will be on hand at the May 23 event to answer questions about its ongoing business venture.

THE MEDIA ARE INVITED TO THE PRESENTATION, WEDNESDAY, MAY 23, AT 6 P.M., CAMPUS AUDITORIUM, 1050 BRISTOL ROAD, FLINT. FOR MORE INFORMATION, PLEASE CONTACT KEVIN LEFFLER AT 810.658.0070.
