Baker College of Jackson will host the 10th annual Spring Tea fundraiser on Saturday, April 30, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the student center, 2800 Springport Road. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Jackson Legacy program, a plan formulated by the Jackson Community Foundation to provide scholarships for qualifying Jackson County high school graduates.

“This is an opportunity to attend a fun-filled event while helping Jackson County students fulfill their dream of a college education,” said Patricia A. Kaufman, Ed.D., Baker College of Jackson president. “For the past decade Baker College of Jackson has hosted this worthwhile occasion, and we are proud to continue the tradition.”

Local celebrities and businessmen will serve tea and a light luncheon. This year’s theme for decorating the tea tables will be “anniversaries,” in honor of Baker’s 100th anniversary and also the 10 years that the Jackson campus has hosted the fundraiser.

In addition to the tea and luncheon, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase items such as jewelry, hats, handmade hats and homemade salsa. Raffle tickets will be on sale to win original artwork, a handmade quilt and a weekend vacation getaway.

Tickets are $35 per person. Table sponsorships are available for $310 and include seating for the host and five guests, a table placard, and special recognition in the program and during the event. Benefactor sponsorships are also available for $100 and include special recognition at the fundraiser.
