Event is Saturday, May 5
Baker College of Jackson will host a free health and wellness event on Saturday, May 5, from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m., 2800 Springport Road, Jackson. The College will showcase its various health sciences programs, including:

• Health information technology
• Medical assisting
• Medical insurance specialist
• Medical lab technician
• Opticianry
• Radiation therapy
• Surgical technology
• Therapeutic massage
• Veterinary technology

There will also be fun-filled and informative activities including chair massages, blood pressure screenings and the opportunity to view a surgical procedure, courtesy of the veterinary technology department. Horse and human skeletons will be on display so that attendees can try to guess where individual bones “belong” on the body. Children will learn about health and science through a variety of projects, including coloring sheets depicting all the various aspects of the fields of health and science.

Light refreshments will be served.
