Baker College of Jackson will host the ninth annual Spring Tea fundraiser on Saturday, April 24, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the student center, 2800 Springport Road. All proceeds from the event will benefit Project Access, a community partnership that provides coordinated health care to uninsured adults in Jackson County.

“Attendees have the opportunity to attend a delightful event while giving back to their community,” said Patricia A. Kaufman, Ed.D., Baker College of Jackson president. “We are pleased that Baker College of Jackson is once again hosting this worthwhile occasion.”
Local dignitaries, celebrities and businessmen will serve tea and a light luncheon. This year’s theme for decorating the tea tables will be “colors.”

In addition to the tea and luncheon, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase items such as a Baker Tea Cookbook for $10 and visual art, jewelry, hats, homemade salsa and drink mixes from local vendors. Raffle tickets will be on sale to win an original painting by Charlene Pung, a handmade quilt or a silk floral arrangement.

Tickets are $35 per person. Table sponsorships are available for $310 and include seating for the host and five guests, a table placard, and special recognition in the program, on the sponsors’ board and during the event.
