Baker College of Muskegon to Host Jim Crow Exhibit Jan. 20-23; Public Invited

WHAT:
“Hateful Things” traveling exhibit of the Jim Crow Museum of Racist Memorabilia from Ferris State University

WHO:
The public is invited to view this free, self-guided exhibit.

WHEN:
Brief opening ceremony, noon, Monday, Jan. 20

Exhibit hours are Monday, Jan. 20, noon to 6:30 p.m. (MLK Day), and
Tuesday–Thursday, Jan. 21-23, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

WHERE:
The Meeting Place, near the Student Center
Baker College of Muskegon, 903 Marquette Ave, Muskegon, MI 49442

DETAILS:
This traveling exhibit visually illustrates how images can promote racism. It features material culture from the late 19th century to the present. Baker College is hosting this exhibit to provide the opportunity for students and the public to examine historical and contemporary expressions of racism and to promote racial understanding.
