Baker College Online Awarded Military Friendly Schools® Title By Victory Media, Inc.
September 20, 2012
FLINT, Mich. – Baker College Online officials announced that it has once again been named to the coveted Military Friendly Schools® list by Victory Media, Inc., a premier media entity for military personnel transitioning into civilian life. The 2013 list honors the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools in the country that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members, veterans, and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus.
“We are very proud to once again be named a Military Friendly School by Victory Media,” said Shawn Mann, Baker College’s director of military education programs. “We offer many benefits to individuals with military experience, including waived fees, reduced tuition and lifetime career services. They bring maturity, diversity, leadership, and life experiences to the classroom. Other students and faculty benefit from their unique perspectives.”
The 2013 Military Friendly Schools list was compiled through extensive research and a data-driven survey of more than 12,000 VA-schools nationwide. Each year schools taking the survey are held to a higher standard than the previous year via improved methodology, criteria and weightings developed with the assistance of an Academic Advisory Board (AAB) consisting of educators from schools across the country. Complete survey methodology is available at www.militaryfriendlyschools.com/Article/methodology-press-kit.
A full story and detailed list of 2013 Military Friendly Schools will be highlighted in the annual G.I. Guide to Military Friendly Schools, distributed to hundreds of thousands of active and former military personnel in October 2012.
