Automotive Services Technology
The Automotive Services Technology program prepares you to successfully complete the Motor Vehicle Specialty Certification test.
In this program, you will:
- Receive hands-on training through class work and real-world work experience.
- Have a specific area of concentration. You will have some flexibility in selecting your area of concentration.
State certification is required for all persons who work in positions as specialty mechanics or master mechanics in the State of Michigan. For a current list of National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) certified programs, please visit their website.

The Automotive Services Technology Program is certified by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation, (NATEF), 13505 Dulles Technology Drive, Herndon, VA 20171-3421. (This program is certified on the following campuses: Cadillac, Clinton Township, Flint and Owosso.)
