Programs

In the Diesel Service Technology program, you learn the basics of medium- and heavy-duty vehicle service.

In this program, you will:

• Learn how to maintain, diagnose, and repair medium- and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Focus on electrical systems, diesel engines, diesel engine performance, preventative maintenance, heavy-duty brakes, and suspensions.
• Choose four specialty areas for further study and licensure or certification.
• Be prepared to perform successfully on the certification exams required for everyone who works as a diesel mechanic or technician in the State of Michigan.

Diesel courses will be taught at the Auto/Diesel Institute of Michigan. Baker College of Owosso is a Michigan CAT preferred college.
