As a Perioperative Registered Nurse, you are a vital part of the surgical team, focused on assessing, planning, and delivering individualized care to maintain and restore the psychological and physical status of surgical patients at all levels of dependency.

In this program, you will:

• Develop and utilize communication and management skills to perform as a circulating nurse—managing the overall nursing care in the operating room and helping to maintain a safe, comfortable environment.
• Learn how to prepare the operating room environment, and act as the link between the surgical team and other parts of the hospital.
• Learn how to anticipate the requirements of the surgical team and to respond effectively.
