Baker College Professional Services, Inc. seeks to hire an individual to be assigned to the position of FACULTY – VETERINARY TECHNOLOGY (PART – TIME) for the benefit of and to be located remotely with Baker College of Muskegon.
General Statement of Duties:
The primary purpose of the Part–Time Adjunct Faculty person is to teach Veterinary Technology courses.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine required
Must be licensed as a Veterinarian (DVM) in the State of Michigan
Minimum of 3 years clinical experience required
Proficiency in basic small animal surgery required
Animal Anatomy and Physiology experience required
Previous teaching experience preferred
Pathology, Diagnostic Laboratory Procedures and Pharmacology knowledge required
Must be able to multitask in high stress situations
Must be computer literate with Microsoft Office Suite, Canvas, Google Apps, Jenzabar and the Internet
Must have the ability to lift and maneuver independently up to 25 lbs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching up to a maximum of 9 credit hours per semester
Revise, review, and/ or develop curriculum, as needed
Complete all required professional development / training
Collect and submit required assessment of student learning data
Participate in appropriate campus and system committees, meetings, projects, and activities
Other duties as assigned
