Baker College Professional Services, Inc. seeks to hire an individual to be assigned to the position of ADJUNCT FACULTY (PART-TIME) – SURGICAL TECHNOLOGY for the benefit of and to be located at Baker College of Owosso.
General Statement of Duties:
The primary purpose of the Part-Time Adjunct Faculty person is to teach courses in areas of their expertise.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related area with Certified Surgical Technologist credential and at least 3 years of recent scrub and/or surgical technology education teaching experience or both within the last 5 years preferred
Associate’s degree in related area with Certified Surgical Technologist credential and at least 3 years of recent scrub and/or surgical technology education teaching experience or both within the last 5 years required
Must have willingness to travel to clinical sites and off site system meetings
Online education platform familiarity preferred
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, Waypoint, and Canvas
Must have effective verbal and written communications skills
The ability to lift and maneuver independently up to 25 lbs
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach theory, lab, and clinical
Provides laboratory and clinical instruction in core areas and other areas as needed
Assists the Director with curriculum planning, textbook recommendations, ongoing assessment and evaluation, and revisions for the core sections
Other duties and projects as assigned
