Baker College Professional Services, Inc. seeks to hire individuals to be assigned to the positions of ADJUNCT FACULTY – VARIOUS ONLINE REMOTE POSITIONS (PART-TIME) for the benefit of and to be located at Baker Online.
General Statement of Duties:
The primary purpose of the Part-Time Adjunct Faculty person is to teach courses in areas of their expertise.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Art Appreciation: Doctoral degree preferred, Master’s degree required. Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Art earned from an accredited institution. Acceptable subfields include art, art studies, and art history.
Game Software: Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Game or simulation minor/concentration (or significant credits) in game or simulation software in Bachelor or Master’s degree. Employment experience as a game or simulation developer preferred. Applicants should have knowledge of C#/C/C++, OOP principles, design patterns and computational complexity; Unity Game Engine; Unreal Game Engine.
Spanish: Doctoral degree preferred, Master’s degree required. Master’s degree in content area or Master’s degree in romance languages or Master’s degree in other area with 18 graduate hours in Spanish.
Previous teaching experience preferred
Must be computer literate with Microsoft Office Suite, Blackboard, Solar, Google Apps, and the Internet
Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Must have the ability to teach daytime, evening, and weekend classes for the above courses
Duties & Responsibilities:
Teach courses within content area, as needed
Revise, review and/or develop curriculum, as needed
Complete all required professional development/training
Collect and submit required assessment of student learning data
Participate in appropriate campus and system committees, meetings, projects, and activities
Other duties as assigned
