Baker College Professional Services, Inc. seeks to hire an individual to be assigned to the position of NURSING CLINICAL COORDINATOR (PART-TIME) for the benefit of and to be located at Baker College of Owosso.
General Statement of Duties:
The function of the Nursing Clinical Coordinator position is to establish and maintain relationships with clinical sites, and place nursing students in these sites for the Professional Practice Experience (PPE). The Nursing Clinical Coordinator serves as the primary contact for clinical education issues both with students and clinical sites and faculty.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university. – Required
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with Doctorate preferred; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), or significant process towards MSN – Preferred
MSN for BSN Program or BSN for ADN Program – Required
Michigan Registered Nurse License - Required
Must be able to handle variable teaching responsibilities
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps
Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Program Director in coordinating education courses and maintaining adequate number of clinical sites, relative to meeting the clinical teaching needs and philosophy of nursing program.
Serve as a liaison between Baker College and the affiliating clinical facilities
Communicate with the hospital educators/ administration to maintain clinical education sited and assists with clinical affiliation contracts of agreement.
Retain current information relating clinical facilities consistent with documentation required the Michigan Board of Nursing
Evaluate and approve waiver hours for the PPE based on student work experience
Perform onsite visits of clinical sites
Attend system meetings
Compile all PPE-related evaluations and report stats to Program Director
Calculate and submit grades for the PPE
Conduct student orientations
Other duties as assigned
