Baker College Professional Services, Inc. seeks to hire an individual to be assigned to the position of DENTAL HYGIENE PATIENT COORDINATOR (FULL-TIME) for the benefit of and to be located at Baker College of Clinton Township.
General Statement of Duties:
The primary job duties for this position includes patient scheduling and records maintenance, answering phones, greeting and assisting students and patients, and faculty support (per accreditation guidelines). The patient care coordinator is often the first representative of our Program to communicate with the public and other healthcare offices and practices. It is essential that this individual represents the Dental Hygiene Program and Baker College in a professional manner at all times.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Associate degree from an accredited college or university in medical office administration or a related field required; CDA, RDA or RDH degree preferred, and CPR certification
Extensive knowledge of dental terminology required
Understanding of OSHA and HIPAA policies as they relate to dental patient care
General knowledge of dental sterilizing units, and dental equipment and supplies
Must be knowledgeable in dental (Dentix) office management software , including appointment scheduling, patient charting and billing/payment procedures is essentia
Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps
Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to lift and maneuver independently up to 25 lbs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Patient scheduling and records maintenance
Greeting and assisting students, patients and faculty support (per accreditation guidelines)
Assist with special projects and meetings, including Advisory Board, dental continuing education courses, and special presentations from health care professionals
Assist faculty with student tracking and patient requirements
Attend college-sponsored meetings and orientations
Other duties as assigned
