Baker College Professional Services, Inc. seeks to hire an individual to be assigned to the position of INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) SYSTEM ENGINEER (FULL-TIME) for the benefit of and to be located at Baker College of Muskegon.
General Statement of Duties:
Manages the operation of networks, microcomputers, voice and video equipment, and related peripheral equipment on specific Baker College campuses.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree from a college or technical school in Business or Information Technology (IT) OR at least 5 years experience in the Baker College IT department required
Minimum of 5 years experience in an IT technical field required
Duties and Responsibilities:
Leverage the College’s ITSM solution to meet its SLAs when providing faculty, staff, and students with IT support
Provide a first and second-tier customer support function to resolve hardware and software IT-related issues
Demonstrate a detailed understanding of campus and system operations, infrastructure, and network topology
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot software applications, premise wiring, multimedia equipment, network switches, wireless access points, digital signage, workstations, mobile devices, printers, MFPs, cameras, and other endpoint devices
